DUMRUL

Synopsis

The film tells the story of Dumrul, a hero who defies Azrael, the Angel of Death, with extraordinary power. The film also features the character Korkut Ata. Adapted from the “Deli Dumrul” story found in the epic “Dede Korkut”—a masterpiece of Turkish literature—the film tells the story of Dumrul, who, confident in his own strength and courage, builds a bridge over dry sand and charges 40 coins to cross it and double that amount to stay off it. Enraged by the death of one of the young men, Dumrul engages in battle with the Angel of Death, Azrael.
